Mission Trip 2006

Just so you know, we are currently on a Mission Trip to Toronto, Canada. We're working with several homeless shelters, lunch kitchens, and tutoring sites. We'll report about our ministries when we get back with pictures and stories about God's involvement in and through our lives! Stay in touch.

Summer (not so) Fun

Brady-at-fountain-web.jpgWell, this summer hasn't been too exciting because I have been working and working and working and working. You guessed it! NOT FUN. I work for a moving company and I move furniture for anywhere from 10 to 15 hours a day! So yeah, it's pretty tiring. To top it all off everyone cusses like a sailor and smokes a pack a day. So all in all it's pretty depressing. But I'm getting paid pretty well and as you can gues, I need the money for college. It's hard not to be influenced by this group of people, but with God's help I can maybe influence someone there for change. So pray for me that I will keep firm as a Christian on what I stand for. As we've learned from reading Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell, one of the best ways of witnessing is to live out the Christian life in front of other people. It's not so much about beating them down with guilt as much as it is about them seeing Jesus Christ in me.

Brian-Brady-Jeff-park-table.jpgOn another note, I registered for college this last weekend and I'm very excited! I am officially going to MidAmerica Nazarene University. So, if any comments come from anyone going to MNU I might be able to hook them up with a No Limits Discipleship T~shirt when we get to college this August. Oh, I also got a new laptop for college from my graduation money. I'm using it right now to type this journal entry! It is so cool to have my own laptop.

Well, keep on keeping on
Later days
Brady

Where In the World Is Brady?

brady-banner-web.jpgJust like the game, we're doing a contest to find where Brady is on vacation. We'll put down some clues so you can begin to guess where he and his family traveled. For those who come close, and leave their guesses in the feedback section, we'll send you a No Limits Discipleship t-shirt.

Clue #1 - He's in one of our National Parks that have been established around the US. Which one would a family of four travel too this time of year? Take a guess.

Clue #2 - This National Park has one of the most intriguing inns inside the Park. It was built in 1903 and remains there today, although it has been expanded several times through the years. It reflects the ambiance of the park itself. Take another guess.

Clue #3 - This National Park had a volcanic eruption that dwarfed the eruption of Mt. St. Helens and left a caldera 30 miles wide by 45 miles long. The Park is safe today, though. What would be your guess now?

Clue #4 - Supported by railroad companies, and with assistance from members of the Washburn expedition and others, Ferdinand V. Hayden promoted legislation in Congress in 1871 and 1872 to protect approximately two million acres of the land lying near the headwaters of the the river that soon became the name of this National Park. How about a guess now?
